Decent Chinese restaurant in downtown Kirkland. Plenty of parking spaces in the plaza but can get filled up when busy. Street parking possible nearby. Close to Peter Kirk park and Kirkland library. Food here is pretty good, I come back every now and then for their lunch specials when I'm in the area. There aren't a lot of options for Chinese food in Kirkland so this is one of the better ones. But not as good as Chinese restaurants in Seattle or Bellevue.
Service is what you would typically expect from a Chinese restaurant. Food served pretty quickly. -

We tried Beijing O'Chef again because their community representative replied to my previous negative review and I respect a company that stands by its services. I am happy to report that our experience was better this time!
We made our own white rice before ordering this time - we were prepared to not receive any, which is still perplexing given the absurdly low cost of time and money for this ubiquitous staple of American Chinese food. We had three of the classic mainstays: mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, and General Tso's, as well as a few orders of egg rolls and potstickers.
I'll note here that the egg rolls and potstickers were absolutely unchanged from last time - these are likely not made in-house, and are pretty tasty. You can get a few for only a few dollars here, which is a decent deal.
The price and portion size of our order were what we expected, but unfortunately the flavors of all three of the dishes just didn't live up to our expectations; everything was mild and bland. Our meals suffered from the unfortunate stereotype of "cheap" American Chinese food - nothing really tasted like anything. It's definitely not going to knock your socks off, and if you get takeaway or delivery it's going to be very soggy even after just a few minutes. The texture obviously tends to be a little better if you can have it fresh in the restaurant but it's still just not up to par with its competitors.
The meat they used was decent quality and there were no inedible bits like you get at some of the lower-end places downtown.
To wrap up, Beijing O'Chef still won't kill you, and some sriracha can take it a long way, but you could probably still do better for the price. -

I went to this place for dinner and ordered Eggplant with Tofu and Fried Rice. The menu doesn't say that the fried rice has egg but it came with egg so we asked them to bring it without egg and they were kind enough to do it. But the fried rice that they brought was too spicy. We ordered everything to be medium spicy and eggplant tofu has the right spice level but fried rice was way too spicy for medium. We had it as we were feeling bad to say it the second time. The food was okay - I like Chinese food at other places better than this place.

I'll caveat that this is a limited review as even though I have been here several times for takeouts, we perpetually end up getting the same two dishes. Guess that tells you we like those plenty enough to repeat regularly.
1. Combo Fried Noodles - This is a stir fry noodles dish that is a perfect takeout item as it is all encompassing. Carbs, meats, veggies. The balance amongst the ingredients are just right.
2. Fried Noodles with Seafood - I would not order this at the restaurant. As a takeout, the freshly fried noodles and the pipping hot sauce/fixings are provided in two containers. I separately steam extra veggies, stir them into the fixings container taking advantage of the abundant broth/sauce. Put the noodles in a giant bowl, pour on the newly amped up fixings, and gently break up the fried noodles in big chunks to soak up the sauce. It is SO good to eat the dish at home this way. Plus it becomes a two meals size. Bonus!
This restaurant shares a private lot. Parking is generally easy. Street parking is doable too. -

Good authentic Chinese restaurant in downtown Kirkland. Their lunch specials are very well priced and have great portion sizes. I love the chongqing spicy chicken and dan dan noodle. Chongqing chicken is nice and crispy and the meat stays perfectly moist. I like my food spicy so I usually get 5 star spice - it's not overpowering, but leaves your mouth a little numb.
